update_version rewrote plugins/ecc/.codex-plugin/plugin.json on disk, but
CODEX_MARKETPLACE_PLUGIN_JSON was missing from the git add list, so the bump
was never committed. The tag then carried a 2.0.0 manifest and
plugin-manifest.test.js failed the release in CI.
Also commits the 2.1.0 value the previous run left uncommitted.

Two bumps were being skipped, both caught by plugin-manifest.test.js only
after the version had already been rewritten across twenty files.
.claude-plugin/marketplace.json used sed with GNU's 0,/re/ address form.
BSD sed on macOS ignores it and exits 0, so the substitution silently did
nothing. Replaced with a node first-match rewrite that fails loudly.
docs/zh-CN/README.md had its version row updated but not its release
heading, unlike the other localized READMEs.

The banner regex still expected 'Everything Claude Code', but the plugin
banner in .opencode/plugins/ecc-hooks.ts reads 'ECC' since the rename, so
update_opencode_hook_banner_version aborted every bump. Accept both names.

transcript and suggests /compact at a window-scaled token threshold
(160k/200k window, 250k/1M window; COMPACT_CONTEXT_THRESHOLD and
COMPACT_CONTEXT_INTERVAL overridable), re-firing per 60k-token growth
bucket; tool-call count stays as the secondary signal (#2155)

never discovers plugins whose local marketplace source.path is the
marketplace root (verified on Codex CLI 0.137.0); plugins/ecc is a thin
folder referencing root skills/.mcp.json per maintainer direction on

- README badges for installs/stars/forks now use shields endpoint badges
backed by api.ecc.tools (live install count 3,712 vs the stale static
150), which also eliminates shields' 'Unable to select next GitHub token
from pool' render in the stars badge

- Add try-catch around readFileSync in validate-agents, validate-commands,
validate-skills to handle TOCTOU races and file read errors
- Add validate-hooks.js and all test suites to package.json test script
(was only running 4/5 validators and 0/4 test files)
- Fix shell variable injection in observe.sh: use os.environ instead of
interpolating $timestamp/$OBSERVATIONS_FILE into Python string literals
- Fix $? always being 0 in start-observer.sh: capture exit code before
conditional since `if !` inverts the status
- Add OLD_VERSION validation in release.sh and use pipe delimiter in sed
to avoid issues with slash-containing values
- Add jq dependency check in evaluate-session.sh before parsing config
- Sync .cursor/ copies of all modified shell scripts
