Six summary-line replacers in catalog.js each took seven to nine positional
capture groups and rebuilt the line by hand. They now go through one
catalogCountReplacer factory that takes the regex group count and the groups
holding the agents, skills, and commands counts. Every other group is written
back verbatim.
Output is byte-identical across the real docs and several synthetic catalogs.
Clears the six max-params warnings on this file.
validateInlineJs unescaped the shell body with four chained replaces,
so a backslash pair followed by n or t was unescaped twice: the pair
became one backslash, then the new backslash-n became a newline. A
valid hook command such as console.log('\\n') failed validation with
an unterminated string. CodeQL flags the chain as double unescaping.
One regex pass maps each escape exactly once. The regression test
feeds the escaped-backslash program through the validator CLI.
validateHookEntry handled command, http and prompt hooks in one function; it now dispatches to validateCommandHook, validateHttpHook and validatePromptHook with the inline node -e check in validateInlineJs. validateHooks reads the file, loads the sidecar and validates the object or legacy array shape through readHooksFile, loadMetadata, validateObjectFormat and validateArrayFormat, so the deepest nesting is gone.
Error messages, their order, exit codes and the --update-fingerprints flow are unchanged.
Extend the PR burst guard with an open-PR cap. On every opened or reopened
PR by a non-collaborator, the guard lists the repository's open PRs, keeps
the author's oldest `maxOpen` (10) open and closes the newer ones with a
bot comment that names the count and the limit. No lock, no maintainer
alert: the cap is about review capacity, not spam. PRs the burst logic
already closed in the same run are excluded so nothing is mutated twice.
Collaborators with write access stay exempt, dry run reports without
mutating, and the comment is deduplicated on a bot-authored marker.
Haley asked for this on 2026-10-19: each contributor should only have 10
to 15 PRs open at a time. Existing open PRs are not bulk-closed; the cap
applies as each author opens or reopens their next PR.
Verification: 22 unit tests and the HTTP workflow test pass,
validate-workflow-security passes, eslint and markdownlint clean. Dry run
against affaan-m/ECC on #3621 reports openCount 19 and nine cap excess
PRs for that author, with no writes.
- Call patterns now skip a require/import preceded by a dot, with or
without whitespace or optional chaining, so records.require('./label')
and obj?.import('./x') are method calls rather than module loads.
- Replace the one-level dynamic-argument pattern with a balanced-paren
scan over the string-free skeleton, so require(path.join(__dirname,
getName())) and require(a(b(c()))) are reported as dynamic.
Rescanning all 802 repository JavaScript files against the previous head
changes 6 results, each a newly reported dynamic argument nested deeper
than one level (docker eval checks and one test); no specifier or package
result changes. The real registry is unchanged: 35/35 resolved, zero
failures or warnings.
- An extensionless require now tries only the path, .js, .json, and a
directory's index.js/index.json, as Node does; .cjs and .mjs must be
named, so require('./helper') no longer passes on helper.cjs alone.
- Treat `}` as a statement boundary, so a regex after a block is read as
a regex and cannot swallow a later require.
- Decide whether a paren opens a condition from the token before the
keyword, ignoring whitespace, so `obj.\nif(x) / 2` and
`obj?. while(x) / 2` stay method calls followed by division.
- Record which slots came from template literals and skip them for
static `from` and side-effect `import`, which accept only a quoted
string; a tagged template named `from` is no longer an import.
A template passed to import() is still a dependency.
Rescanning all 802 repository JavaScript files against dd14493e changes
no result, and the real registry still reports 35/35 resolved with zero
failures or warnings.
- Track whether each relative specifier arrives through require or
through import()/static import, and resolve the import forms by exact
path. Node's ESM resolver adds no extension and rejects directory
imports even from a CommonJS file, so import('./helper') and
import('./data') no longer pass on helper.js or data/index.json alone.
require keeps the CommonJS extension and index candidates.
- Stop normalizing backslashes in relative specifiers. Linux and macOS
read them as filename characters, so require('./lib\helper.js') now
fails as non-portable-separator instead of resolving to lib/helper.js.
- Record whether each closing paren ends an if/while/for/with condition,
so a `/` right after one starts a regex. A method named `if` and calls
nested inside a condition still read as division.
extractReferences gains an `imports` list. Rescanning all 802 repository
JavaScript files against the previous scanner changes no result, and the
real registry still reports 35/35 resolved with zero failures.
Carry forward the final scoped delta of PR #3119 at 60e82f95. Keep required dependency closure and select only modules reachable from successful requests; refresh the unchanged 293-skill registry binding.
The catalog gate validated only the first README project-tree block and
had no skills/commands counterpart to the agents pattern, so:
- README.md project tree (skills) and (commands) were never checked.
- A stale count in a second tree block was invisible because the agents
pattern used String.match with a non-global regex, which reads only the
first occurrence.
Both are now fail-closed. parseReadmeExpectations walks every tree block
for all three categories via matchAll, reports the offending line number
in the source label, and throws when an entry is missing entirely rather
than skipping it. syncEnglishReadme uses replaceAllOrThrow so --write
repairs every block instead of only the first; replaceOrThrow could not
be reused because it replaces only the first match and its regex.test()
probe is unsafe once the pattern carries the g flag.
README.md:847 documented 67 agents against an actual 68 and was never
checked, so it was corrected.
Fixtures in tests/ci/catalog.test.js and tests/ci/validators.test.js now
emit the skills and commands tree lines the gate requires, and both gain
regression coverage that fails against the previous parser (5 new tests).
Adds a curated, Pi-native, skills+prompts-only profile at pi/core/ for downstream packagers that mirror GitHub Releases.
- manifests/pi-core.json: explicit include lists, per-item exclusion reasons, curation rules, safety allowlists; every root skill and command must be classified.
- scripts/build-pi-core.js regenerates pi/core deterministically (package.json from VERSION, LICENSE, README.md, CURATION.md, skills/, commands/); --check fails CI on drift. council is renamed ecc-council inside pi/core only.
- Safety checks: no callable endpoints outside the allowlist, no npx/curl|sh/pip install, no secrets, no absolute home paths, no symlinks, valid frontmatter, no duplicate names.
- CI: build + drift check and an offline Pi CLI load test of pi/core.
- Release: VERSION, package.json and pi/core/package.json at 2.2.2, CHANGELOG, tag-triggered release verification, and a two-week cadence in CONTRIBUTING.md.
pi/core: 123 of 293 skills and 24 of 94 commands; 35,006 characters of skill description text.
Retain the last gate diagnosis through deadline and attempt exhaustion, preserve unrelated failures, and use immutable hostile-response fixtures.

Keep ${1} and echo $1 as Claude substitutions. Do not fail VAR=$1
function parameters or Perl/awk $1 compares. Sync catalog counts to
68 agents, 293 skills, and 95 commands after rebase onto main.

Add scripts/ci/validate-skill-host-compat.js and run it from the Validate
Components job and npm test after validate-skills.js. The check fails on
Claude-only substitutions in bash fences and on Codex copies that use keys
outside name, description, metadata, license, and allowed-tools. CONTRIBUTING
checklist items warn unless --strict-checklist.
Also add /skill-host-compat and skills/skill-host-compat with a Codex copy
that drops origin. Move configure-ecc plugin-root examples into prose so the
live catalog stays green without a skip list.

hooks/hooks.json already ships only schema-valid keys with metadata in the
hooks.metadata.json sidecar. Add scripts/ci/check-hooks-schema-keys.js, a
strict allowlist check that fails when hooks/hooks.json or
hooks/codex-hooks.json carry any key outside their loader's documented set,
wire it into the npm test chain, and cover it with fixture tests.

Preserve the contributor implementation, synchronize summaries to the current tree, and keep the unrelated installer timeout unchanged.
Source-PR: https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC/pull/3060
Source-Head: 3a9c2b2589
Move stable hook metadata to a validated sidecar while preserving hook commands and installer identity. Reject moved fingerprints and duplicate IDs, and validate before updating metadata. Independent local review passed at c315271624a1fd055b992f2bff889ad2a0ff8a6b; CI run 34678210149 passed. Rollback: revert this squash commit.
Extends scripts/ci/validate-skills.js to also scan docs/{locale}/skills/
translated mirrors, not just curated skills/. Adds detection for the
YAML defect classes from #2630 without a parser dependency: unquoted
values containing ": " (glued next key / dropped quoting), values
starting with the reserved '@'/'`' indicators, and missing frontmatter
blocks entirely (required only for docs mirrors; curated skills/ keeps
its existing tolerant behavior).
Normalize scalar Claude agent tool metadata across validators, adapters, dashboards, and generated surfaces with regression coverage.
