Hugo DURANDandGitHub 7daa3ab49d feat(cli): place self-hosted deployments on a listener (#9056)
Follow-up to #8482. `langgraph deploy --push-to` can now create a
deployment in a workspace that
deploys through a listener in the customer's own cluster, which is the
hybrid case. Before this,
creation in such a workspace was impossible from the CLI: the control
plane rejected it and the CLI
told the user to go and create the deployment in the UI first.

## Changes
- Smart Auto-Placement: The CLI now proactively checks your workspace.
If you only have one listener and one Kubernetes namespace configured
(and are using the managed cloud control plane), it automatically routes
your deployment there. No extra flags needed.
- New Disambiguation Flags: If your workspace has multiple listeners or
namespaces, the CLI will ask you to choose. You can now pass
--listener-id and --k8s-namespace to tell it exactly where to deploy.
- Failing Fast: The CLI now validates your listener and namespace
choices before it starts building and pushing the heavy Docker image. If
you provide an invalid ID, it stops immediately instead of wasting your
time and bandwidth.
- Fixed a Duplication Bug: Previously, if you had many deployments with
similar names, a pagination issue could hide your existing deployment
from the CLI, causing it to accidentally create a duplicate. The CLI now
queries the server for the exact deployment name to guarantee this
doesn't happen.
- Cleaner Errors: Error messages from the control plane are now stripped
of their clunky HTTP envelopes so you get clear, readable sentences when
something goes wrong.

## Testing

Deployment on 3 paths, hybrid, self-hosted, nominal

1afaca35a0 feat(cli): add --image-uri flag for self-hosted deployments (#8482)
Adds `--image-uri <uri>` to `langgraph deploy` so self-hosted LangSmith
customers can build, push, and deploy in one command without needing to
script the three steps manually.

When `--image-uri` is provided the CLI:
- Builds the image tagged to the provided URI (same Docker build path as
the local build flow)
- Pushes using whatever Docker credentials are already in the
environment (e.g. WIF, `aws ecr get-login-password`) — no auth handling
in the CLI
- PATCHes the deployment with `source_revision_config.image_uri` (no
`revision_source`, which the self-hosted control plane rejects for
`external_docker` deployments)

Also fixes two self-hosted-specific issues uncovered during testing:
- `LANGSMITH_ENDPOINT` is now used as a fallback when
`LANGGRAPH_HOST_URL` isn't set — the CLI strips the `/api/v1` path and
appends `/api-host` to reach the control plane
- The httpx client now builds full URLs via string concatenation rather
than relying on httpx base_url merging, which silently dropped the
`/api-host` path prefix when paths started with `/`
- The "Check status at" URL after a deploy now correctly points to the
self-hosted LangSmith UI instead of `smith.langchain.com`

**How did you verify your code works?**
Tested end-to-end against a self-hosted LangSmith instance using ECR as
the registry. `langgraph deploy --image-uri <ecr-uri>` successfully
built, pushed, and triggered a deployment revision. Confirmed the
existing SaaS flow (`langgraph deploy` without `--image-uri`) is
unaffected — the new flag is opt-in and the `LANGSMITH_ENDPOINT`
fallback only activates when `LANGGRAPH_HOST_URL` is unset and
`LANGSMITH_ENDPOINT` is present.

Elior Nataf LackritzandGitHub ea5f9cc9fb chore: enforce PLC0415 in tests for the remaining packages (#8547)
Follow-up to #8540, which turned on `PLC0415` (import-outside-top-level)
for checkpoint-postgres and checkpoint-sqlite. This does the remaining
six packages: checkpoint, checkpoint-conformance, langgraph, prebuilt,
cli, sdk-py.

Scoped to tests, per @sydney-runkle's call on #8540: library code is
exempted with `per-file-ignores`, since it still has deferred imports
nobody has reviewed and mixing that in would make this hard to read.

## What changed

Function-level imports across 56 test files moved to module level. Nine
could not move and carry an explicit `# noqa: PLC0415` with a reason:

| File | Why it stays local |
|---|---|
| `libs/langgraph/tests/test_deprecation.py` (4) | the import has to run
inside `pytest.warns` for the warning to be observed |
| `libs/langgraph/tests/test_serde_allowlist.py` | try/except guard,
skips when langchain_core is absent |
| `libs/langgraph/tests/test_delta_channel_benchmark.py` | optional
psycopg probe |
| `libs/checkpoint/tests/test_conformance_delta.py` (3) | protected by a
module-level `pytest.importorskip`; hoisting past the guard turns a skip
into a collection error |

That last one is the trap: an import moved above `pytest.importorskip`
silently defeats the guard. I hit it locally and it turned the skip into
a `ModuleNotFoundError` at collection. Every file with an `importorskip`
or `except ImportError` was checked by hand for this.

## Verification

`make lint` and `make test` in each of the six:

| Package | Tests |
|---|---|
| checkpoint | 156 passed, 17 skipped |
| checkpoint-conformance | 1 passed |
| langgraph | 1968 passed, 4 skipped |
| prebuilt | 284 passed |
| cli | 336 passed |
| sdk-py | 493 passed |

Also confirmed the rule actually fires: a throwaway test file with a
function-level import is flagged in all six packages, and the source
exemption holds.

3df6f50ad5 feat(cli): allow prebuild images for langgraph deploy (#8100)
Fixes #

adds a --image flag to `langgraph deploy`, allows a user to `langgraph
build` a custom image and then deploy this specific image with
`langgraph deploy`.

6e4a295ba5 fix(cli): pin internal_docker deploy images by digest (#7924)
## Summary

`langgraph deploy` now pins images by digest when handing the URI to the
LangGraph host backend. After `docker push`, the CLI reads the manifest
digest from the local Docker daemon's `RepoDigests` and sends
`registry/repo@sha256:<hex>` to the host backend instead of the
tag-based reference. Mutable tags cause downstream inconsistency — the
same revision can refer to different images over time.

The image is still pushed under the user-supplied `--tag` (default
`:latest`) so it stays discoverable by tag in the registry — only the
URI persisted with the revision changes.

## Behavior on failure

If the digest can't be resolved (empty `RepoDigests`, or no entry
matching the just-pushed repo), the CLI warns and falls back to the
tag-based reference. Deploys never fail on a digest-resolution issue.

## Test plan

- [x] `make test` passes (new `TestResolvePushedImageDigest` cases
included)
- [x] `--verbose` deploy shows the `docker image inspect` call resolving
  the digest
- [x] Deploy with a clean Docker daemon (no matching `RepoDigests`)
emits the fallback warning and still completes successfully

65117979b4 feat(cli): add langgraph deploy (#7004)
Allow users to deploy to langsmith deployments from the langgraph-cli.
This PR makes the following changes:
1. Add a simple host backend client with httpx
2. Adjust `progress.py` to show elapsed time for commands, and also use
threading.Event to stop the spinner
3. Adjust `_build` to allow arbitrary command so we can pass `docker
buildx build` and default to `docker build`
4. Add new `deploy` command, this re-uses a lot of the `langgraph build`
functionality, and then uses the new host-backend client to push the
built image to langsmith deployments.
