`Command(resume=..., update=...)` saves the null task's writes as one list, resume first, so the update landed at index 1. When the node asked again, the next Command saved the null task's earlier writes without the resume, which put the update at index 0. Savers key a regular write by its index, so they stored it twice, and every later resume applied both copies. The null task's special writes now go after its regular ones, so a regular write keeps its index as the list grows.
