Elior Nataf LackritzandGitHub 66ebe1a0da fix(checkpoint-postgres,checkpoint-sqlite): scope namespace matching to segment boundaries (#8478)
## Summary

Namespace scoping in the Postgres and SQLite stores matched the
dot-joined prefix with `LIKE '<path>%'`, which does not respect the `.`
separator — a search scoped to `("foo",)` also returned rows under
`("foobar",)`. Scoping now matches the namespace exactly or requires the
separator before any remainder, and pattern metacharacters in labels are
escaped.

`list_namespaces` moves to segment-aware matching for prefix and suffix
conditions, since neither `LIKE` nor `GLOB` can express "any character
except the separator".

Per-package reasoning is in the commit message.

## Compatibility

`*` in a `list_namespaces` match path now spans exactly one segment,
restoring the documented behavior (`NamespacePath` documents `("cache",
"*", "v1")` as "any cache category with v1 version") and matching
`InMemoryStore`. To match at any depth, combine both conditions, which
are ANDed: `list_namespaces(prefix=["uid"], suffix=["alice"])`.

## Test plan

- [x] `make format` / `make lint` / `make test` from
`libs/checkpoint-postgres` (224 passed) and `libs/checkpoint-sqlite`
(112 passed, 3 skipped)

Saad FarooqandGitHub 4134145734 release(langgraph): 1.2.10 (#8462)
## Summary

Releases `langgraph` 1.2.10.

Bumps the package version `1.2.9` -> `1.2.10` and propagates it into the
`langgraph`, `prebuilt`, and `sdk-py` lockfiles. No dependency floor or
source changes.

Picks up the changes landed since 1.2.9: #8389 (typed v3 `stream_events`
return and native projections), #8362 (`trace_policy` on `add_node`),
#8402 and #8403 (`TracePolicy` tag drop, then revert).

## Changes

- Update `libs/langgraph/pyproject.toml` to version `1.2.10`.
- Update the editable `langgraph` package entries in
`libs/langgraph/uv.lock`, `libs/prebuilt/uv.lock`, and
`libs/sdk-py/uv.lock`.

Nick HollonandGitHub 1e1ca88dad feat(langgraph): type v3 stream_events return and native projections (#8389)
The `version="v3"` overloads of `stream_events`/`astream_events`
returned `Any`, and `GraphRunStream`/`AsyncGraphRunStream` attached
native projections via a runtime `setattr` loop invisible to type
checkers.

- Return `GraphRunStream` / `Awaitable[AsyncGraphRunStream]` from the v3
overloads.
- Declare the always-registered native projections (`values`,
`messages`, `lifecycle`, `subgraphs`) as typed class attributes on both
run streams.
- Add `assert_type` checks in `test_stream_events_v3.py`.

Opt-in native projections (`updates`, `custom`, `checkpoints`, `debug`,
`tasks`) are only present when their transformer is registered, so they
remain reached via `extensions[...]` rather than annotated as
always-present.

Saad FarooqandGitHub 9578140336 feat(checkpoint,checkpoint-postgres): add opt-in omit_expired to skip expired rows on read (#8354)
The Postgres store removes expired items only via the background TTL
sweeper, so between sweeps a read can still return a logically expired
row. Adds an opt-in flag so reads can filter expired rows at query time,
closing the window without depending on sweep cadence.

## Changes
- Add `omit_expired: bool` to `TTLConfig` (default `False`). When unset
or `False`, behavior is unchanged
- When enabled, inject `(expires_at IS NULL OR expires_at > NOW())` into
the read query builders on `BasePostgresStore`, so
`get`/`search`/`list_namespaces` do not surface an expired row:
- **GET** (`_get_batch_GET_ops_queries`): predicate on both the final
SELECT *and* the refresh `UPDATE` — the update is driven from an
unfiltered key list, so gating only the SELECT would hide an expired row
yet still refresh it back to life.
- **SEARCH** (`_prepare_batch_search_queries`): inside the inner scans
(before `LIMIT`/`OFFSET`), which also gates the refresh `UPDATE` fed by
`search_results` and keeps pagination correct
- **list_namespaces** (`_get_batch_list_namespaces_queries`): predicate
appended to the existing scan conditions.

## Testing
- Four behaviors covered sync + async, across the
`default`/`pipe`/`pool` fixtures: expired-unswept row omitted from all
read paths (with a raw SQL check proving the row is still physically
present), default/explicit-`False` still returns it, `refresh_ttl=True`
doesn't resurrect an expired row while still extending live ones, and
search pagination stays correct when an expired row falls inside the
page window.
- Full `checkpoint-postgres` suite green on PG16 (210 passed); `ruff
format`/`check` clean on both packages.

Hugo DURANDandGitHub b96f6170e7 fix(sdk-py): support clearing cron end_time via update(end_time=None) (#8334)
`CronClient.update` / `SyncCronClient.update` stripped all `None`-valued
fields from the PATCH body, so `update(end_time=None)` could never clear
a previously set cron end time. This routes an explicit `None` through
as `end_time: null` (via the existing `NOT_PROVIDED` sentinel), while an
omitted argument still leaves the value unchanged.

Verified with `make format`, `make lint`, and `make test` in
`libs/sdk-py` (493 passed), including two new tests asserting the PATCH
body carries an explicit null `end_time`.

Josh RogersandGitHub 55ec2f2193 chore(cli): allow langgraph-api versions up to 1.0.0 (#8319)
<!-- Replace everything above this line with a 1-2 sentence description
of your change. Keep the "Fixes #xx" keyword and update the issue
number. -->

Bumps the langgraph-api upper bound in the cli to `1.0.0` and releases
langgraph-cli version 0.4.31.

95af6a0071 release(langgraph): 1.2.9 (#8316)
## Summary

Releases `langgraph` 1.2.9.

Bumps the package version `1.2.8` -> `1.2.9` and propagates it into the
`langgraph`, `prebuilt`, and `sdk-py` lockfiles. No dependency floor or
source changes.

Includes #8315 (fix non-fresh `update_state` delta channel
counters/snapshot metadata for Postgres replay).

## Changes

- Update `libs/langgraph/pyproject.toml` to version `1.2.9`.
- Update the editable `langgraph` package entries in
`libs/langgraph/uv.lock`, `libs/prebuilt/uv.lock`, and
`libs/sdk-py/uv.lock`.

Quanzheng LongandGitHub 7d0b33c961 fix: updateState metadata/counters for delta channel (#8315)
## Fixes

Non-fresh `update_state` on `DeltaChannel` did not advance
`counters_since_delta_snapshot`

Postgres checkpointer uses those counters to replay.
This PR fixed a further bug after bug fix in
https://github.com/langchain-ai/langgraph/pull/8290

## Verification

- `uv run pytest tests/test_delta_channel_update_state.py` (11 tests)
- Postgres integration repro (`update_state` on existing thread + after
a run) — all 3 cases pass

Quanzheng LongandGitHub b45d96b8eb fix: delta channel bug with updateState on fresh thread will force snapshot instead of stub checkpoint (#8290)
Fixes langchain-ai/deepagents#3774

Reworks the fresh-thread `update_state` fix for `DeltaChannel`: instead
of creating stub checkpoint (#8011), force a new Snapshot into the first
checkpoint so the value is stored inline and needs no ancestor replay.

## Background

`update_state` / `bulk_update_state` on a *fresh* thread silently
dropped the first write to a `DeltaChannel`.

By design, a `DeltaChannel` reconstructs its value by walking ancestor
checkpoints and replaying the writes attached to them.
Checkpoint writes need a parent to persist. But on a fresh thread there
is no ancestor, there is no parent to use.

#8011 fixed this by lazily persisting an empty stub checkpoint (step
`-1`) to give the first write a parent to use. This PR reverts that and
takes a simpler route.

## A better fix

On a fresh thread (`saved is None`), force a snapshot of every available
`DeltaChannel` into the first checkpoint via `create_checkpoint(...,
channels_to_snapshot=...)`.

This way, the read/replay path is untouched and no stub is needed.

## Behavior change

A fresh-thread `update_state` now produces a **single** self-contained
checkpoint (step `0`, no parent, snapshot inline) instead of two (stub
step `-1` + update step `0`). This is visible via `get_state_history`.

## Verify

`make format`, `make lint`, `make test` in `libs/langgraph`.
`tests/test_delta_channel_update_state.py` is updated to assert the
single-checkpoint shape on a fresh thread and pins the non-fresh paths
(`update_state` after `invoke`, consecutive `update_state`,
`bulk_update_state`) against regression.

Regression suite for deepagents#3774 and Postgres read-path compatibility.
Fresh-thread updates snapshot updated DeltaChannels on the head checkpoint
(self-contained for Postgres readers). Delta writes are not persisted via
`put_writes`; non-delta channel writes on a fresh thread are attached to
the head after it is saved.
Fresh-thread ``update_state`` force-snapshots DeltaChannels (1.2.8). Non-fresh
``update_state`` persists ``checkpoint_writes`` on the parent, advances
``counters_since_delta_snapshot`` on the new head, and snapshots when a
channel reaches ``snapshot_frequency`` (mirroring normal run cadence).
Coverage:
* fresh-thread regression: single `update_state` writes a message and reads back
* non-fresh thread: `update_state` after `invoke`, after another `update_state`,
and `bulk_update_state` with multiple per-superstep updates
* update-by-id end-to-end via `update_state` (DeltaChannel reducer semantics)
* state-history shape on a fresh thread (single snapshotted head checkpoint)
* head checkpoint snapshots updated DeltaChannels for Postgres read paths
* fresh-thread regression: single ``update_state`` writes a message and reads back
* non-fresh thread: ``update_state`` after ``invoke``, after another ``update_state``,
and ``bulk_update_state`` with multiple per-superstep updates
* update-by-id end-to-end via ``update_state`` (DeltaChannel reducer semantics)
